One highlight of the weekend will be the chance to shop for unusual and unique gifts at various Artists’ Open Studios, an area-wide event that showcases numerous artists and artisans working in many media. Another highlight will be an exclusive, lantern-light tour of Roseland Cottage Museum with its Victorian holiday decorations that recreate the Christmas of 1887.

The weekend culminates with a sumptuous Christmas dinner right out of Charles Dickens’ “Christmas Carol”, consisting of roast goose, roast beef, assorted vegetables, fine wines and a flaming plum pudding. This Victorian-period dinner will take place on Saturday night in an intimate dining room at The Inn at Woodstock Hill in Woodstock , CT.
