About Us

A classic house.
A fresh start.

The Fitch House has been a Connecticut landmark for generations.  Built with love in 1836, conserved with care for decades, today it stands as a premier bed and breakfast destination in the heart of the Quiet Corner.  As the latest owners of this treasured part of local history, we are honored to share our home with those seeking uncommon and elegant surroundings.

We began our stewardship of the Fitch House in June 2016, when we moved in with our two sons, two cats, three dogs and flock of chickens.  Delighted to once again open the Fitch House to guests, we--one, a former school teacher, and the other, a professor at UConn--look forward to making your stay with us warm, welcoming, and enjoyable.
